How
your thoughts transform into chemicals!
Are you aware of the power and control YOU
have over your brain? Most people are not aware, believing that symptoms, emotions
and chemicals happen to them. I was in the same boat many years ago and set out
on a journey to better understand the mind.
The first book I ever
wrote is “My Life Is A JOY To Me” www.faithunpuzzled.com.
I want you to know, that the book is really saying . . . I am going to be happy
if it kills me. Along with the book is
a talk presentation, “How To Turn Life’s Negatives to Positives.”
The inspiration for the book came from my own emotionally
challenging situation - a situation that felt like a daily uphill climb. I wanted to marry and have my own darlings, yet my JOY in this realm, I had created, had escaped me.
Reflecting over the many years, that have flown by, I have
learned to call upon the Lord to lift me up.
This path started with asking questions and receiving answers, the ‘inspirations’
guided me forward day by day. God’s hand
directed me to take classes that changed my life.
Within one class, I came to realize that I was ‘thinking’ more negative thoughts than positive
thoughts.
Hmm – the awakenings revealed that thoughts are electrical energy. That energy then directs our
human brain to create chemicals, or
Molecules of Emotion.
Simply stated,
positive thoughts direct the brain to create endorphins which help in triggering happy feelings.
Negative thoughts trigger our
brain or chemical factory to create depressants.
As I learned about the positive and negative thought
connection, I chose to think and speak more positives than negatives. That
simple effort of changing my self-talk had a Joyful result. I simply ‘felt’
happier. Wow!
When my husband had cancer, I placed
affirmations on the fridge door and recited them each time I got snacks for our
five children, ages 10 yrs t0 2. The affirmations were:
1.
- I am Happy.
- This is a Happy day
I began to notice moments of peace each day. My life began
to be more Joyful, day by day.
I found this quote today from President Thomas S. Monson
“So
much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and
respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to
choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring
peace and contentment.”
I wonder, what thoughts can you catch and change from a
negative to a positive. Will you have similar results? Who will embrace this
sweet challenge? Who? When? Wow!
P.S. I invite you to capture your new results and
send emails to share. My email is carolynpr@gmail.com
